Your Threads account brought me here, and I'm glad I stayed for the journey. I'm going through a similar situation, searching for a new job and building my writing habit.

Both have been challenging, especially in this job market, and I've been inconsistent with writing, but I still believe that “things always work out,” as you mentioned in your story.

I pray things work out for you soon, and your writing leads you to open doors. Your writing has inspired me to get back into it, so keep pushing forward, my brother.

Appreciate the well wishes and I’m glad they did work out! I’m gonna post something about the overall experience soon now that I secured a role. I have so many thoughts that I haven’t quite figured out the best format.

Getting back into the writing habit really is like going back to the gym after a long time off. Just gotta get through that part and we’re good money.

I also know how a job search or any major life transition can disrupt writing, and that is totally fine, too. Trying to create during a storm is hard.

I appreciate your transparency here because I went through something similar last week, and it infuriated and deflated me. I felt like Carlton in that Fresh Prince episode, I felt like they gave me the "wink and the gun." Still nothing. Like you, a lifestyle change, a considerable daily commute, but given the title and the compensation, I deemed it worthy. I was told I'd definitely hear back with next steps, but like you, too much time went by, and I had to reach out in order to get a response.

IT WAS NOT A PLEASURE WORKING WITH YOU! 😂😂

Like shorty don't butter me up. I spent 3hrs on that campus meeting people, por que?!? Lol

Good luck on your next interview man. It really does help me to feel seen, because this job searching shit is akin to masochism.

Appreciate the well wishes, my guy. Also wishing you the resilience to withstand until what's meant for you comes along.
